Here at BestProducts.com, we start planning our Halloween costumes early. Like, really early. We wouldn't dare be that person looking for a last-minute costume — and neither should you. There's nothing worse than someone asking you, "What are you supposed to be?" And apparently we’re not alone in our love for dressing up: Americans spent more than $3 billion on costumes last year.

“Middles are used to not getting their own way, and so they become savvy, skillful manipulators,” Schumann told Psychology Today. “They can see all sides of a question and are empathetic and judge reactions well. They are more willing to compromise, and so they can argue successfully. Since they often have to wait around as kids, they’re more patient.”
Anditron always dresses up for Halloween, but when she was pregnant, she wanted to incorporate her bump without being too traditional. So she made a Death Star costume. Or rather, her round belly was the Death Star, with small x-wing fighters attached. The rest of her was dressed in black. The Darth Vader helmet was incidental, but worked well. Take a look at the Death Ray deployed:

So, we know what they say about a man in uniform, but ask anyone, the same thing goes for the ladies! Of course, piloting a jet fighter on a high-stakes mission might go a long way towards upping your sex appeal, too, so we’ve got just the theme in mind. Top Gun! Our Top Gun costumes come in the classic male-cut flight suit style and sexy form-fitting women’s outfits as well. We’ve even got a cute dress version! Pick out one of these fun costumes for adults, and well, “you can be my wingman any time.”

Instructables member onebrokenneck made a robot couple for a costume competition. These classic Hollywood-style robots are made of aluminum, but according to the build process at Instructables, you can probably use cardboard instead if you don't have a metal shop. The arms and legs are dryer ducts, and various LED gizmos were used to give them an electric personality.

I made my ear “fins” from floral wire and tulle, and meticulously hand sewed sequins. I wore a nude tank top and pinned my hand sewn shells on. Then I sewed a fin, using a skirt as a pattern, and added tulle fins (again, meticulously hand sequined.) I was covered in glitter and blue and green makeup, and found that delightfully tacky wig at Goodwill. Don’t worry – it was new and unused!

I think it’s okay too. A Geisha girl is popular. Caucasian stereotypes include little Dutch girls and drunken Irish men. Also hearkening from my background, I wouldn’t be offended if someone dressed as a Scot in full kilt etc. (especially if he has nice legs! lol), or the French stereotype: a beret, a baguette and a bottle of wine. I appreciate though that you don’t want to needlessly offend anyone.
As an etsy seller, I personally don’t think it’s unethical to list an item in any blog post (even a DIY one,) as long as the link takes you back to the item listing, and/or the creator is given credit. This one just happens to have been deactivated, maybe because the seller did it, or it’s possible etsy did. Either way, even if the item was copyrighted, someone crafty could make something similar for personal use (but, from what I’ve seen, not of the same quality unless they’re experienced with printing on fabrics!) Most sellers are up on their SEO and google stats, and it appears this one’s sales haven’t been hurt by their item being posted all over the web. 😉

Ben Carpenter is a cosplayer who uses a wheelchair. For this year’s Tampa Bay Comic Con, he and his group became the cast of Mad Max: Fury Road. Ben was Max in the scene where he was strapped to the front of a vehicle in order to supply blood to the driver. He used his wheelchair in the upright position for the vehicle, driven by a friend and accompanied by other characters from the movie. They won the award for Best Group Cosplay. Of course they did.

QuaziLogical made a classic illusion costume a couple of years ago. It cost him about $30 and took about 30 hours of work. This version of the trick looks better than most because the “dummy” is covered by a surgical mask, obscuring its fakery, and QuaziLogical wore a mask, too, to make his face look artificial. See a closer image of the legs he made.
